In September of 2010 Alex, Dave, Jason, Curtis and Richard set off from Land’s End with the aim of riding to John O’Groats to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK.
"With the support of a motor-home and driver we planned to take 11 days to cover just short of 1000 miles which, to say at least 3 of the team had owned road bikes for less than 18 months was quite an achievement.
We had great support from Rich and all the guys at racescene all the way. As well as a never ending supply of bike spares and energy gels their encouragement on our blog every night was a great help.
In the end we completed the challenge in 10 days and raised over £27,000 for Cancer Research. If you want to read a complete account of our ride which includes details of the route etc please see our blog."
