At 50 something and with a neck injury aggravated by trying to ride a too long, too low bike 'just like the pros', I was on the point of giving up when I happened across the Racescene website. I made an appointment for a bike fitting with Freddie and a couple of hours of first class service later I came away with a gorgeous Somec bike that fitted me perfectly. Thanks Michael for part building the bike and allowing me to look over your shoulder to see how a pro mechanic does it! Racescene is a great shop with great stock but most importantly gives great customer service. Don't take my word for it, give them a visit and see for yourself".

Always a delayed contact from Sunny Brum, but have a valid excuse for not coming up North. Relocated to Jersey with my job in January. Yeah! Sounds great & the lifestyle is, but job not what I'm seeking, so am back in UK this wend thinking over any next moves...

Dear RaceScene,
It has been six months since I took delivery of the Casati Laser Carbon, which has been a joy to ride over the summer season. The bike looks and handles superbly. What really became apparent, even on the first ride, was the ability to make climbing a pleasurable experience with the bonus of an ultra comfortable ride.
My expectations were to have a road bike custom built which felt the equivalent of driving a Lutus Elise. Instead the Laser Carbon is more of a Bentley Continental, plenty of pace but with sublime comfort. I can only put it down to all the components working together to produce such a fantastic result. Hopefully next year I can exploit the Casati’s potential with some visits abroad.
I wish to thank Freddie, Richard and Mike for the excellent service you all provided and of course, allowing me to grow old gracefully with such a fine road bike.

Hi Freddie & all at Racescene,
Just a quick email to let you know that my new bike from you guys is excellent!
After picking it up from your shop on Saturday I did just a couple of miles round the block to my friends house & couldn’t wait to get out Sunday morning on it.
We left Gainsborough & headed out towards the Lincolnshire Wolds, I couldn’t believe the difference, on my old bike (Trek) I was beginning to think that all the training we’d been doing just wasn’t paying off, It was constant hard work & painful after a few hours
The Time VXRS that you guys built for me is just a world apart from the Trek, it’s so smooth so responsive & fits me perfectly! (haven’t had to adjusted anything at all)
We did a very hilly 100 or so miles on Sunday & not one ache or pain!,
On Tuesday after very little sleep & driving to Heathrow & back on Monday (after ride on Sunday) my friend & I did our first crit race at Yarborough Sports track, never raced before & never seen track before, came in 16 & 19 not bad considering out of about 40 or so. Going back next Tuesday with legs to kick some ass
Seeya all soon for first service done nearly 200 miles already
