Ernesto Colnago’s Arabesque was a celebration of everything there was to love (or hate) about Italian racing steel from the early 80s. An elaborate flourish of a bicycle, it’s a tribute to the exuberant style for which the Cambiago-based maker is famous for.
Released in 1983, the Arabesque was available as a frame-and-fork only or specified complete with a Campagnolo Super Record gruppo and featured hand-carved and pantographed lug work. It was assembled from Columbus SL and Record tubing, which was ribbed in accordance with Colnago’s proprietary design.
