Carbon tubing, custom-shaped specially for Somec. The carbon fiber is very high moduls both resistant with elasticity, with various thickness. The tubes are formed using tecnologia Honeycomb, the layers of carbon and Nomex, which is a material with a honeycomb shape made with Aramide which is also used in Kevlar production. The frame has high torsion rigidity and high resistance to the demands upon it.
In addition, by deleting vibrations prevents fatigue to the muscles.
The seat-tube and the chain-stays are asymmetric and oversized which improves rigidity and reactivity from the effort of the rider. The double, thinner seat-stays allow a perfect vertical flexion which increases comfort. The multisized diameter head tube is of 1” 1/8 at the top, and 1” 1/2 at the bottom, and has a lower section for the bearing which is also produced from carbon. The dedicated headset has been designed in order to avoid infiltrations.
