New website under development and coming soon!

As an official Campagnolo Pro Shop, Shimano Service Centre and Mavic Service Point with Cytec 4 certification we have the very latest equipment and knowledge to deal with minor repairs through to the latest EPS and Di 2 electronic gearing systems

If you’d like more advice on a problem with your bike, give us a call, drop into the shop or use the form below to let us know when you’d like  your bike to come in for a service – one of us will get back to you quickly to confirm a date and time.

We would ask you to bring your bike in a relatively clean state. Extra cleaning of bikes will be charged.

You will get a phone call from the mechanic to confirm prices with you before any new parts are fitted. We ask you to leave a telephone number that you can be reached on. We will not continue with any work until we have spoken to you first.

Any worn/broken parts will be disposed of unless otherwise requested.

Other Services

Apart from our standard services we can do almost anything to a bike that doesn’t involve welding or brazing the frame – that’s still the province of a frame builder. Among the procedures we regularly carry out are the following:

  • Fitting an old groupset and wheels onto a new frame
  • Fitting a new groupset and wheels onto an old frame
  • Build-up of new frame and components
  • Wheel build
  • Puncture repair
  • Fitting a new headset
  • Headset service
  • Swapping a cassette
  • Gear re-indexing
  • Brake re-alignment
  • Fitting new bottom bracket
  • Fitting bar tape
  • Fitting chain
  • Wheel true
  • Fitting a tubular tyre
  • Gluing a tubular tyre
  • Hub service
  • Wheel Building Service

Handbuilt wheels are built for a purpose. They are built around the cyclists needs and wants and the conditions that the rider might face out on the road, pave or off-road.

All our handbuilt wheels are built in-house at Race Scene. We carry a large variety of rims, hubs, spokes and nipples from all manufacturers, and we will happily order in preferred rims and hubs to meet any specific requirements. We can also rebuild your existing wheels. Please contact us or pop into the shop and we will be happy to talk through your specific requirements or guide you in choosing your next handbuilt wheelset.

Shimano Di2 Software Upgrade

We can update your current Ultegra Di2 software to the latest update and tune the system to provide new functions.

With this box of tricks we can run a full diagnostic check on your bike, we can speed up the shifting or slow it down, the choice is up to you! We can swap over the shifting buttons. We can also change the shifters over so the right-hand shifts the front derailleur etc… if you have a satellite shifter we can also change which derailleur it shifts and what button does what. The best feature is the multi-shift function which allows you to move the derailleur across the entirety of the cassette when you hold down the button. It makes a good groupset GREAT!

This new diagnostic will not work with the old analogue Dura-Ace 7900 system, but will work with Dura-Ace 9070 Di2.

The cost for this service is £20 and you will need new handlebar tape.
